1. Customer Login & User Account Data

When you create an account or sign in to Indicuisine (via Google OAuth or Firebase Authentication), we collect and store:

• Account Credentials & Profile Info: Your full name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique User ID (UID).
• Kitchen Preferences: Country/region selection, dietary restrictions (e.g. Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal, Gluten-Free), spice tolerance levels, and cooking philosophy.
• User Content & Saved Data: Custom recipes, saved meal plans, grocery lists, pantry inventory, and saved bookmark collections.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Processing

Indicuisine integrates Google Gemini AI models to power interactive features such as the AI Recipe Architect, AI Meal Planner, Ingredient Substitution Engine, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) audio guides.

• Inputs Processed: Ingredients entered, custom dish queries, dietary options, and voice/text coaching questions are sent to secure AI API processing pipelines.
• No Personal Identification in AI Calls: We do not transmit your account password, email, or billing identifiers to AI model prompts. Only relevant culinary parameters are passed.
• Voice & Speech Synthesis: Audio generated via Text-to-Speech is processed temporarily to stream audio responses to your browser and is not stored permanently.

3. Analytics, Cookies & Storage

We use essential browser storage mechanisms and analytical tools to maintain system functionality:

• Local Storage (`localStorage`): Used to persist your theme choices, transient pantry lists, timer states, and offline recipe drafts locally on your device.
• Authentication Cookies: Firebase Auth session tokens are stored securely to keep you logged in across browser sessions.
• Usage Analytics: We collect aggregate, anonymized technical metrics (IP address, browser type, device category, page views, and error logs) to monitor server health and improve page performance.

4. Third-Party Integrations & Amazon Affiliates

Indicuisine participates in affiliate advertising programs (such as the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program). Clicking on product links or ingredient buy buttons may redirect you to external merchant sites (e.g. Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com), which set their own tracking cookies and follow their own privacy policies.

5. Data Security & Your Rights (GDPR / UK DPA)

Your profile and saved recipes are protected by Google Firebase enterprise-grade database rules and encryption in transit. Under applicable privacy laws (including UK GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access, update, or modify your personal profile information anytime via the Account Settings page.
• Request full deletion of your user account and associated stored data.
• Opt-out of optional marketing newsletters at any time.
