Momo Recipe: How To Make Fried Momos at Home
Ingredients
- Maida (Plain Flour) – 1 cup
- Cabbage - ½ cup
- Carrot - ½ cup
- Onion - ½ cup
- Garlic – 8 buds
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper – ½ tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- In a vessel, mix all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of oil. Make a dough with the help of water and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Grate the carrots and leaf cabbage.
- Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Heat some oil in a pan.
- When the oil is heated up, add finely chopped garlic and onions.
- When the onion turns light pinkish in color, add cabbage and carrot. Cook it lightly with black pepper and salt, then turn off the heat.
- Make small chapatis out of the dough.
- Fill one teaspoon of stuffing in the middle of each chapati and close it by holding and folding the edges.
- Steam the momos and kept aside.
- Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
- When the oil is heated up, add the momos and deep fry them over medium flame.
- Take out the momos and place them on tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
- Serve hot with chili red sauce and mayonnaise.
