Momo Recipe: How To Make Fried Momos at Home
Ingredients
Maida (Plain Flour) – 1 cup
Cabbage – ½ cup
Carrot – ½ cup
Onion – ½ cup
Garlic – 8 buds
Salt – to taste
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Instructions
In a vessel, mix all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of oil. Make a dough with the help of water and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Grate the carrots and leaf cabbage.
Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Heat some oil in a pan.
When the oil is heated up, add finely chopped garlic and onions.
When the onion turns light pinkish in color, add cabbage and carrot. Cook it lightly with black pepper and salt, then turn off the heat.
Make small chapatis out of the dough.
Fill one teaspoon of stuffing in the middle of each chapati and close it by holding and folding the edges.
Steam the momos and kept aside.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
When the oil is heated up, add the momos and deep fry them over medium flame.
Take out the momos and place them on tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
