Spicy Potato - Masaledaar Aloo Recipe
Ingredients
- Potatoes - 4
- Turmeric - ¼ teaspoon
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
- Carom seeds - ¼ teaspoon
- Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon
- Red chili powder - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - as per taste
Instructions
- Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into pieces.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
- Fry cumin seeds and carom seeds in hot oil and add chopped potatoes.
- Stir the potatoes for 1 to 2 minutes on high heat.
- Lower down the flame and add all the spices and salt as per the taste and mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook potatoes for 7 to 8 minutes . (Keep stirring in between)
- Turn off the gas when the potatoes turn soft.
- Serve delicious spiced potatoes with roti.
