Rava Kesari Recipe – Homemade Rava Kesari Recipe

Ingredients
  • Semolina / Rava – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Desi Ghee – 3/4 cup
  • Water – 4 cups
  • Saffron – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cashews, Raisins – 1/4 cup
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, dissolve saffron in lukewarm water.
  2. Take a pan and heat 2 teaspoons of ghee in it.
  3. Fry cashew raisins on low heat and take them out on a plate.
  4. Heat the remaining ghee in the same pan and roast the semolina until it smells.
  5. After the semolina is roasted, add 4 cups of water and saffron solution to the pan and mix well.
  6. Stir the pudding on a medium flame till the water dries.
  7. When the water dries, add sugar to the pan and mix well with semolina. Cook the halwa on low heat.
  8. Keep stirring on medium flame.
  9. When Kesari starts leaving the pan, add dry fruits and grated coconut to it.
  10. Rava Kesari is ready, feed hot and eat.
