Ingredients
- Semolina / Rava - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Desi Ghee - ¾ cup
- Water - 4 cups
- Saffron - ½ teaspoon
- Cashews, Raisins - ¼ cup
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve saffron in lukewarm water.
- Take a pan and heat 2 teaspoons of ghee in it.
- Fry cashew raisins on low heat and take them out on a plate.
- Heat the remaining ghee in the same pan and roast the semolina until it smells.
- After the semolina is roasted, add 4 cups of water and saffron solution to the pan and mix well.
- Stir the pudding on a medium flame till the water dries.
- When the water dries, add sugar to the pan and mix well with semolina. Cook the halwa on low heat.
- Keep stirring on medium flame.
- When Kesari starts leaving the pan, add dry fruits and grated coconut to it.
- Rava Kesari is ready, feed hot and eat.
