Lime Water, popularly known as Nimbu Pani in India, is a traditional summer beverage that refreshes and hydrates instantly. Made using simple ingredients like lemon juice, sugar, and water, it gets a delightful kick from black salt and black pepper. It’s a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and tangy!

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh lemons
  • 2 glasses of water (approx. 400 ml)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon black salt
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large glass or jug, pour 2 glasses of chilled or room-temperature water.
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of sugar and stir until it completely dissolves.
  3. Squeeze the juice of 2 lemons into the sweetened water.
  4. Add ½ teaspoon of black salt and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder.
  5. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
  6. Add ice cubes and optionally garnish with mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately for best taste.
