Who is not familiar with the health benefits of Amla (Indian/Gooseberry). Amla is full of nutrients and vitamins.Some of its health benefits are:
- regulates the the haemoglobin levels in our body.
- keeps us fit by tackling relieving all stomach problems.
- improvises the vision of eyes.
- keep the blood pressure under control and many many more.
Including amla in daily diet helps us keep healthy and going. There are many ways by which we can have it daily like we can make amla chutney, amla pickle, amla candy, amle ka murraba, amle ki sabzi and the list goes on. For now we will be making amla ki chatni.
While buying amla for making amla ki chutney, get tight amla from the market which makes it easy to grate. Gooseberry jam tastes best when made with yellow colored ones.

- Amla/ gooseberry - 6 to 7
- Ghee/ clarified butter - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 4 tsp
- Cardamom powder / elaichi powder - ¼ tsp
- Black pepper - ¼ tsp
- Black or rock salt - ¼ tsp
- Grate amla/ gooseberry using a grater. And if you are using food processor to grate amla, then deseed it first.
- Take ghee and heat it in a pan.
- Transfer the grated amla to th pan. Mix well. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add 4 tsp sugar. Mix well. Sugar will make amla moist. Cook till the mixture becomes dry.
- Add ¼ tsp Cardamom powder, ¼ tsp black pepper and ¼ tsp black or rock salt. Mix well.
- Meethi amle ki chutney is ready. Store in a glass container and serve when required.

Yeh this jam needs to be refrigerated… By keeping it refrigerated you can can keep this jam fresh for months.
